Advising
This message is to prospective and current majors within the CFS/D Department. We encourage you to make an appointment with your advisor to prepare or review your Advising Plan, which will guide you towards graduation with proper course sequencing. Our priority is to facilitate the timely graduation of our majors. Please adhere to these guidelines:
- Majors should meet with their advisor each semester. Make an appointment by emailing or signing up outside the advisor’s office.
- Pick up your folder in BH 329 and bring it with you to your advising appointment, then return the folder to the office.
- Be sure to bring your current unofficial SFSU transcript and DARS (degree audit report).
- Remember most advisors are not on campus during the summer.
-
If you need summer advising, please make an appointment with Dr. Rabolt
1.415.338.1219.
- CFS/D participates in campus-wide informational activities such as Sneak Preview in March and Welcome Days in August. New students should take advantage of these opportunities. We also have informational meetings for the dietetics program at the beginning and near the end of each semester. Check with Joan Frank for details.
- New students should participate in campus-wide orientation days for Freshman and Transfers.
